SING! Interacts Auditions By: Brett Briggeman

With the fall semester at Hardin-Simmons University (HSU) getting started, there are many different events to look forward to, such as the beginning of the football season or the start of Greek life allowing new rushes and pledges to come and join their clubs. However, the largest and most exciting event on the calendar is the traditional HSU SING!, a competition between all of the Greek clubs, freshmen, and other groups starring as main attractions for the show. 

In conjunction with the main acts for SING!, there are a number of smaller acts that take place between each large group, known as interacts. Interacts are an opportunity for clubs on campus to advertise themselves and for other individuals or groups to perform in front of the university at SING!. 

All interacts must audition to be in the show and are encouraged to come on September 15, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Woodward Dellis Recital Hall. Each audition slot is ten minutes, and serves as a way to show early stages of what the groups will be doing at SING!. During the audition time there will be a speaker that can be used by those auditioning to play backing tracks and other technical needs. 

The SING! directors have the right to accept or deny any group or individual that auditions for interacts at their discretion. However, all are encouraged to come and audition and be a part of this fun competition and show.
