Hardin-Simmons University's (HSU) Baptist Student Ministry (BSM) will host their annual 24-hour prayer event, Revive 26, on Anderson lawn beginning April 7.
All current HSU students, faculty, families and alumni are encouraged to participate in this campus-wide time of prayer. Revive 26 will count towards current HSU students' chapel credits.
Revive 26 is a growing tradition that spreads the word of God across the HSU campus. All participants have the opportunity to enter and pray in the resonated prayer tent, which serves as a peaceful and sacred place to connect with God. The prayer tent is both a place of community and personal reflection. Inside the tent, individuals can find comfort as they praise God, reflect on His presence in their lives and spend time engaging with scripture. Everyone is encouraged to stop by the prayer tent at any time during the 24 hours of prayer.
Revive 26 was created to allow the Holy Spirit to fill each individual's life and the HSU community as a whole. It is a set-aside time to come together in intentional prayer and worship, allowing God’s presence to cover the campus.
The event follows the success of Revive 25, which created a lasting impact on the HSU community. Many students committed their lives to Christ with several choosing to be baptized.
Revive 26 will begin with its first service on April 7 at 9:30 a.m. on Anderson lawn. The service will be held in place of a traditional chapel at Behrens Auditorium. The second service will begin later that evening at 7:00 p.m.. To conclude Revive 26, the third and final service will be held on April 8 at 7:00 p.m. on Anderson lawn.
Revive 26 t-shirts and tank tops are available for purchase on the BSM Instagram page, @hsubsm. Follow this page for a full schedule of events and daily updates on Revive 26. HSU BSM continually hosts opportunities to praise and worship while helping build a community of resilient and faithful believers on the HSU campus. All students are encouraged to plug into HSU BSM and attend their semesterly events.
