On Feb. 2-4, Abilene was covered with a beautiful blanket of snow and ice for the first time this year.. Despite the worries and anxiety it brought on the Texas survivors of “Snowmageddon” from last year, the weather was kind enough and instead only brought forth the buildings of snowmen and snowball fights. This week’s Throwback Thursday is centered around one of the snow day articles published in The HSU Brand on Nov. 21, 1980, titled “Snow doesn’t slow HSU” when students’ classes were not canceled.
